The Sigma Cine Classic 14mm T3.2 is an ultra-wide prime designed for full-frame cinema sensors, offering a sweeping field of view with a distinctively nostalgic visual character. While its transmission rating is T3.2, the optical design is still based on a fast f/1.8 aperture, meaning the lens is fully capable of achieving naturally shallow depth of field and subject isolation. The Classic series employs a selectively applied coating formula that softens overall contrast, allows highlights to bloom, and produces expressive flares for an organic and nostalgic image aesthetic.

This specialized coating treatment is the defining quality of the Classic look — highlights glow in a pleasing atmospheric way, and the contrast rolls off smoothly, giving images a textured, cinematic warmth rather than a clinically modern finish. Mechanically, the lens maintains the same professional construction as the standard Sigma Cine primes, including a 95 mm front diameter, standardized gear positions, and a smooth 180° focus rotation for precise, repeatable pulling. The Classic series is available exclusively in ARRI PL mount with metadata communication, ensuring seamless integration into professional cinema workflows while delivering a timeless, expressive visual signature.
