SERVICE
What is your typical turn-around for service or repair work?
We genuinely strive to provide the fastest turn-around possible. We understand that time is money and a downed lens can cost a production a lot of time and money. Turn-around can vary greatly depending on our current workload. However, we're always happy to accommodate demanding production schedules. So contact us today to gauge current turn-around time.
Can I pay a rush fee to expedite my service/repair order
No. We don't rob our customers with unnecessary fees. Service work is accepted on a first-com-first-serve basis. As is the nature of precision optics, rushing detailed procedures and delicate adjustments can lead to disappointing results. We are happy to fit your order into our schedule for the fastest turn-around while maintaining the highest level of quality possible.
Do you service still photo lenses like Nikon or Canon
No. Our service department sticks to motion picture lenses. While similar in design and use, we simply don't stock the parts or materials necessary to properly service still photo lenses.
What does it cost to overhaul my lens?
Service rates vary drastically depending on the complexity of the design and the condition of the lens.
Do you service Lomo lenses?
Nope. Not at all. Mostly because the build quality and materials used in Russian lenses are inferior and simply can't be quoted accurately. For this reason, we simply don't accept Russian lenses of any kind for maintenance or repair service.

 

ONLINE ORDERS
How quick will my order ship?
Most orders placed before 2pm PST leave our facility the same day. Transit time depends on the shipping method selected at checkout.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You should receive an automated email as soon as your order is placed, and one more email with your tracking number once it has been scheduled for pickup.
Do you offer price matching?
Yes. We price match with fellow authorized dealers. Obviously there are restrictions. See more info on our Terms and Conditions page here.
I placed an order recently but now the product is cheaper. WTF?!
From time to time we offer special deals on products which we're happy to extend if you missed a sale by a short period. However, sometimes a manufacturer will offer incentives of their own such as instant or mail-in rebates. These are approved and applied by the manufacturer, not Duclos Lenses. We can always work with the manufacturer on your behalf, but it's ultimately up to them, not us.
Do you sell products internationally?
In most cases, yes. However, many of the brands that we carry have strict regional limitations that we obey categorically. Just ask a sales rep and we would be glad to discuss your particular situation.

 

MODIFICATIONS
Can you Cine-Mod® my lens?
We can apply our Cine-Mod® to most manual operation lenses. Our 80mm fronts simply screw into the filter threads. Our seamless focus gears are custom cut to each lens for a proper semi-permanent fit. De-clicking can be done to Nikon F, Zeiss Contax, Leica R, Zeiss ZF, ZF.2, Milvus, Otus, and many other lenses with a manual aperture movement.
Can you de-click my Canon L lens?
No. Many modern lenses have an electronic aperture with no aperture ring to be de-clicked. Imagine you have a cheese pizza and ask your friend to remove the pepperoni. But there's no pepperoni on the pizza to begin with... Get it?
Can you convert my lens mount to something else?
We do this often with Nikon F mount lenses, converting them to Canon EF mount. But not all lenses are as simple. When considering mount conversions, flange depth is key. Some conversions are quick and economical. Some are elaborate and expensive. contact us for more info.
Can the focus direction of my Nikon mount lens be reversed?
Yes. But not quickly, economically, or easily. The cost for such a conversion would be similar to the cost of a brand new professional motion picture lens with proper focus direction and all the other bells and whistles you could want.

 

SHIPPING
How quick will my order ship?
Most orders placed before 2pm PST leave our facility the same day. Transit time depends on the shipping method selected at checkout.
Will my package be left at my door?
No. All of our orders are shipped "Signature Required" and will not be left unattended.
Is my shipment insured?
Yes. All of our shipments are insured for their full value. While this may increase shipping charges, it prevents unnecessary, costly mistakes.
Why are your shipping fees so high?!
Because we ship precision instruments and highly tuned exotic lenses, most of our shipping procedures are a bit more refined than your average Amazon shipment. However, if you're ordering some simple parts or something that doesn't require the utmost care, just drop us an email or call and we can tailor the shipping to your needs, most likely at a fraction of the cost.
