The Canon CN-E 50mm T1.3 L F Cinema Prime Lens is a versatile standard focal length, highly valued for its natural perspective on both Full Frame and Super 35 sensor formats. This high-speed optic features a very wide T1.3 maximum aperture, providing exceptional performance in challenging low-light conditions and offering maximum control over shallow depth of field. A circular 11-blade iris ensures that out-of-focus areas render with smooth, natural bokeh. Focus operation is precise and controlled via 300° of smooth, stepless barrel rotation, and the optical design effectively suppresses focus breathing.

Engineered for professional cinema use, the lens is built with a dust- and water-resistant housing. Its internal mechanics are designed to resist the effects of thermal expansion, helping to ensure the absolute accuracy of focus markings across temperature shifts. Focus distance scales are clearly visible on both sides of the barrel, with the rear markings angled for excellent readability by the focus puller. As part of the CN-E family, the 50mm T1.3 maintains standardized features—including a 114mm front diameter and identical gear positions—for seamless integration and quick lens changes on set.
