Duclos Lenses and Meyer Optik Görlitz Cooperate on Cine-Mod for Vintage-Inspired Optics
LOS ANGELES, CA, January 27th, 2026 - Duclos Lenses is pleased to announce a new partnership with German optics manufacturer Meyer Optik Görlitz. Through this collaboration, Duclos Lenses will now carry Meyer Optik Görlitz lenses through our online and physical store, expanding the range of creative tools available to cinematographers and visual storytellers.
Designed and manufactured in Germany, Meyer Optik Görlitz lenses are rooted in a long tradition of optical craftsmanship and mechanical precision. These lenses are known for their distinctive character and expressive rendering, offering image qualities that feel intentional and full of personality. Classic designs such as the Primoplan, Trioplan and Biotar have become iconic for their ability to create depth, unique bokeh, and a look that stands apart from more clinical modern optics.
As part of this partnership, Duclos Lenses will also offer their Cine-Mod services for every Meyer Optik Görlitz lens currently in production. The Cine-Mod process adapts still photography lenses for professional cinema use by adding industry standard focus and iris gears and an 80mm Front Ring. This allows cinematographers to take full advantage of the unique optical character these lenses are known for while working with tools that feel familiar and reliable in a production environment.
