The Classic coating approach selectively reduces contrast and encourages highlight bloom, resulting in imagery that feels warm, organic, and emotionally grounded.

The 40mm’s balanced field of view makes it ideal for dialogue, medium close-ups, and character-driven framing where environment still plays a role. Mechanically, the lens matches the Sigma Cine series with a 95 mm front diameter, consistent gear placement, and a 180° focus rotation for precise focus control. Available exclusively in ARRI PL mount with metadata support, the 40mm T2.5 Classic offers a cinematic, expressive look that integrates seamlessly into professional production workflows.
