A beautiful example of some of the more exotic glass that Zeiss manufactured for their line of Contax C/Y lenses. This particular model is in excellent condition and was sent to us for a few upgrades - most obvious being the focus gear; 32-pitch, seamless, machined from one solid piece of black acetyl Delrin. We also de-clicked and damped the aperture movement to give it a pleasing, accurate cinematic operation. And lastly, the mount was converted to a fixed, stainless steel Canon EF mount. With a lens this large and heavy, nickel plated brass or 3D printed garbage simply wouldn't do. We can't wait to see some beautiful images shot on this lens. ... just imagine: 8K Monstro!
