Let's start from the beginning...

Once Upon A Time, there was the kingdom of Takumar. Within this prosperous principality there was a simple lens named Pentax.

Pentax was different. He had a click in his aperture that set him apart from the other lenses with their smooth scales.

One day, Pentax stumbled upon a mythic vessel. This vessel transported him to the magical fortress of Duclos where the mysterious Wizard of Cine-Mod lived.

"You have a click in your step," said the Cine-Mod Wizard.

"Yessir I sure do. Do you perhaps have a magical potion that can cure me?"

"There is no such magical potion my young lens. There is, however, a special procedure. I can see now that it will be a very difficult operation for you. I have performed many de-click procedures in my long lifetime and during these treatments I was able to access the click issue by removing specific rear components. This is not the case with you. You are a very special little lens and we must access the click problem by removing special components from the front. This process requires some dis-assembly and the utmost concentration.

If you are brave enough, I will perform this procedure for you," advised the Cine-Mod Wizard.

Pentax thought about it for a long while. He had many concerns. Would the Wizard be able to dis-assemble him carefully without breaking any of his delicate parts? Would the Wizard be able to put him back together again? Finally, once he was de-clicked, would he still be the same lens? The Wizard listened to Pentax's concerns and then promised him something special.
