We don't always accept Canon L-Series lenses for our Cine-Mod since they tend to be helpless when it comes to motion picture, but once in a while a client will ask to modify something that simply isn't available as a proper cinema lens. The Canon 200-400mm is a good example. You won't find a sharper, smaller, lighter lens designed for cinema specifically. This particular client needed to be able to use motors on the zoom and focus as well as 136mm Clamp-On accessories. We designed a tailored 136mm Front Ring for the lens and installed custom gears for the focus and zoom rings.
