  • ZY Optics Mitakon Zone 35mm T1

    The Mitakon Zone 35mm T1 from ZY Optics is an ultra-fast cinema prime for full-frame and VistaVision PL/EF cinema systems. Its T1.0 maximum aperture is among the fastest available for large-format cinema, delivering extreme shallow depth of field and remarkable low-light performance, with a warm, painterly rendering that softens the clinical edge of modern digital sensors.

    The 13-element, 12-group optical design covers a 46mm image circle, and a 16-blade iris keeps out-of-focus highlights smooth and round at wide apertures. Focus breathing is kept to a minimum, and the 35mm focuses as close as 2' for a 0.12x maximum magnification.

    Every Zone prime shares the same standardized housing: a 114mm front diameter, 110mm filter thread, 0.8 MOD focus and iris gears, a 270° focus throw, and identical dimensions and weight across the set, so lens swaps don't require re-rigging a matte box or follow focus. The lens comes equipped with a PL mount, and an interchangeable EF bayonet is included.
