◄CAN I ORDER THE MOUNT PARTS TO INSTALL MYSELF?
In order to maintain the highest quality results as well as the integrity of the lens, the MK-R Mount Conversion must be installed by a lens technician. As a result, we do not have plans to sell the parts as a DIY solution at this time.
◄WILL THE CONVERSION CHANGE THE COVERAGE OR QUALITY OF THE LENS?
No. We've designed our conversion such that full image quality and S35 coverage is maintained as well as the integrated back-focus and macro features of the MK zooms. On Komodo, the 18-55mm may show a minor vignette when using the 6K full frame between 18mm and 20mm when stopped down below T11. This can easily be mitigated by adjusting settings. ◄WILL THE CONVERSION EFFECT THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY?
We've worked closely with Fujinon to ensure the factory warranty is maintained. If you do have an issue that you feel is warranty related, please inform us as soon as possible.
◄IS THE MOUNT INTERCHANGEABLE FROM RF TO ANY OTHER MOUNTS?
The lens can still be swapped to our other mount conversions by a technician but we don’t recommend attempting this unless you’re comfortable disassembling a lens. While the conversion is non-destructive and can be reversed, it's intended to be a fixed, rigid conversion.
◄DO I GET THE ORIGINAL PARTS BACK IF I SEND MY LENS IN FOR CONVERSION?
If you’re buying the lens from us, it does not include additional mount parts. If you sent your lens in for conversion, we’ll hang onto the parts unless you specifically ask for the parts back.
◄I WANT TO SEND MY MK ZOOM IN FOR THE CONVERSION. WHAT'S NEXT?
We're ready for it! Simply head over to our Equipment Shipper and complete the form. Once we receive your lens, turnaround time is about 1-2 weeks.
◄CAN THIS CONVERSION BE APPLIED TO OTHER LENSES?
No. This mount conversion was developed specifically for the Fujinon MK zoom lenses. Our Engineering Dept. can certainly work their magic with other lenses, but this particular design is specific to the MK zooms.
◄WHAT ABOUT THE FUJINON MK-X ZOOMS?
While the Fujinon MK-X lenses do share the same optics with the other MK zooms, the internal mechanical design at the rear of the lens is different enough to make our conversion incompatible. Sorry.
◄CAN YOU CONVERT THE MK ZOOMS TO CANON EF MOUNT?
No. We've explored this option extensively and found that the MK zooms simply cannot be converted to Canon EF mount. If you'd like more information on why this can't be done e-mail matthew@ducloslenses.com
