The Dulens APO Cambrian Prime 77mm T2.0 provides expansive medium format coverage for large sensors such as the ARRI Alexa 65 and Fujifilm GFX Eterna, functioning as the standard focal length for the series. On these massive sensor formats, the 77mm delivers a field of view roughly equivalent to a 55mm on full frame formats, providing the classic, undistorted perspective that most closely approximates human vision. This makes it an essential tool for portraiture and narrative dialogue, where the lack of aspherical elements results in exceptionally clean skin tones and creamy, natural bokeh. With a close focus distance of 0.53 meters from the front glass, the 77mm allows for tight framing that isolates subjects with the characteristic shallow depth of field and smooth focus fall off that defines the medium format look.

The APO Cambrian Prime series is defined by an apochromatic design that ensures edge to edge sharpness and minimal chromatic aberration across high resolution sensors. To preserve a natural and organic aesthetic, Dulens has avoided the use of aspherical elements in this line, resulting in smooth, artifact free bokeh without the common onion ring textures found in modern glass. Each lens in the set features a proprietary V+ coating to balance modern micro contrast with gentle highlight roll off and subtle vintage flare. For streamlined efficiency on professional sets, the series shares consistent gear positions for focus and iris, a 270 degree focus rotation, and a uniform 80mm front diameter. Most focal lengths in the series, including the 77mm, feature a 72mm filter thread to accommodate screw in filters for compact configurations. These lenses come equipped with a PL mount, while interchangeable mounts in Canon EF and Fuji GFX can be purchased separately.
