This long-range cine zoom offers full-frame coverage, a constant T2.9 aperture, and reliable optical performance across the entire zoom range—ideal for capturing detail from a distance without sacrificing image quality. Designed for professional digital cinematography, it maintains consistent sharpness, contrast, and color from 70mm to 200mm, with no focus shift while zooming. Despite its extended reach, the lens remains manageable in size and is well-suited for both studio setups and mobile rigs.

The housing features standard 0.8 MOD gears for focus, iris, and zoom, with nearly 300° of focus rotation and clearly marked imperial (feet) scales. ZEISS’s T* anti-reflex coating and internal light traps minimize flare while maintaining high contrast and natural color rendition. The lens ships with a PL mount and supports the ZEISS interchangeable mount system for compatibility with EF, F, MFT, and E mounts (sold separately). Like other lenses in the CZ.2 lineup, it’s colormatched for seamless intercutting with ZEISS primes and zooms, making it a powerful long-lens option in a unified cinema kit.
