The Cine-Mod® by Duclos Lenses adapts select still-photo lenses for motion picture workflows, improving handling and usability on set while preserving the optical character of the lens.
Short for "Cinema Modification", Cine-Mod is a process developed by Duclos Lenses that adds cinema-standard features to a wide range of new and vintage still-photo lenses making them easier to operate with follow focus units, motors, matte boxes, and exposure tools in professional motion picture environments.

FOCUS GEAR
A seamless, precision-machined 0.8 mod gear installed for smooth, consistent follow-focus operation.
FRONT RING
Standardizes the outer diameter of the lens for clamp-on matte boxes in either 80mm or 95mm size while maintaining a usable filter thread when possible.
FRONT CAP
A durable cap designed specifically for the standardized 80mm or 95mm front ring.
APERTURE DE-CLICK
Smooth, damped aperture movement for controlled exposure adjustment (only for lenses with a mechanical aperture ring).
MOUNT CONVERSION
Available for popular modern and vintage lenses. When adapters aren’t adequate, a solid hard-mounted solution ensures accuracy and reliability.
Cine-Mod® works best with manual lenses that have a mechanical aperture ring and solid internal construction. Below is a short list of popular lens families we commonly modify. If you're unsure whether your lens qualifies, we're happy to confirm before any work begins.
